Capital City Gutter Is Now a Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor

August 29, 2026

We're proud to announce that Capital City Gutter is officially a Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor (CERC)! This certification, awarded by Environmental Risk Professionals, connects us to a nationwide community of contractors. We're in excellent company with contractors committed to going above and beyond standard practice to run an environmentally responsible business.

What Does It Mean to Be a Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor?

There are two things that a company has to demonstrate to earn CERC certification.

  1. It must demonstrate financial responsibility for pollution cleanup.
  2. It must show a genuine commitment to pollution best practices among its employees.

This ongoing standard applies to how our business operates on every job site.

For a gutter company, this means that we pledge to be deliberate about how our work impacts the environment. It applies to every property we come in contact with, from the materials we use to how we manage runoff, debris, and job-site practices.

Why This Matters to Your Project

We are always committed to delivering a project on schedule and within budget. We know that these things matter to every homeowner and business we work with. We also know that how that project gets done is important. Environmental risk isn't always something that people think about when it comes to gutter installation and repair. But any construction and exterior work can carry real environmental considerations.

Cutting corners on environmental considerations often leads to costly problems down the road. It affects both property owners and the community we live in. By choosing a Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor, you can trust that we build these considerations into the way we operate. For Capital City Gutter, environmental impact isn't just an afterthought; it's a priority.

As a Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor, Capital City Gutter:

  • Is aware of the environmental risks connected with construction and exterior work, and has trained our team with a clear, step-by-step plan to reduce or mitigate those risks
  • Is committed to protecting soil, groundwater, and our entire community through pollution prevention and job site safety
  • Believes in building a strong foundation for future generations in the Tallahassee community we call home
  • Demonstrates financial responsibility for pollution cleanup, should an incident ever occur

A Commitment Beyond the Job Site

This certification doesn't reflect a new mentality for Capital City Gutter. It's something we've always believed. We are dedicated to doing quality work, and part of that means being responsible for how it affects the environment. Whether we are installing new gutters, handling repairs, or managing a larger exterior project, we hold ourselves to the highest standard. Our objective is always to protect your property, our team, and the broader environment we all share.
